Omnidirectional antennas have a wide frequency band coverage, commonly 2.4GHz,5.8GHz,470~510MHz, 5GHz, and some can reach 6GHz, adapting to various communication requirements. According to the polarization mode, vertically polarized omnidirectional antennas are widely used in ground communication, while horizontally polarized omnidirectional antennas are suitable for special communication environments. They can also be further classified by material and size.

 

Its 360-degree uniform radiation signal is suitable for scenarios with wide signal coverage requirements and low directionality requirements. For home and enterprise WiFi networks, omnidirectional antennas of wireless routers achieve full-house signal coverage. Mobile communication base stations provide basic signals with the aid of omnidirectional antennas. Small wireless sensor networks also rely on omnidirectional antennas to ensure stable communication between nodes.

Omnidirectional antennas for drones are usually made of lightweight and durable materials to meet the requirements of drones for weight and environmental adaptability.
